Pat Rundgren is your choice for a slightly unorthodox tour of the Northern KZN battlefields. Elizabeth (Liz) Spiret was born and educated in the UK. She has travelled extensively. Liz was a museum assistant in the Ladysmith Siege Museum for 5 years and is a long-standing committee member of the Ladysmith Historical Society as well as a trustee of the Siege Museum Trust. Her particular field of expertise is the 118-day siege and relief of Ladysmith and related battles, which took place during the Anglo Boer War of 1900-1902. Dave Sutcliffe has had an interest in the history of conflict and battles all his life so when he moved to Newcastle in the heart of the Battlefields of KwaZulu Natal in 1983 it proved fertile ground for the furtherance of his hobby.
