Elizabeth (Liz) Spiret was born and educated in the UK. She has travelled extensively. Liz was a museum assistant in the Ladysmith Siege Museum for 5 years and is a long-standing committee member of the Ladysmith Historical Society as well as a trustee of the Siege Museum Trust. Her particular field of expertise is the 118-day siege and relief of Ladysmith and related battles, which took place during the Anglo Boer War of 1900-1902.
